Calendar Design – 2021

Mood

Mood is a calendar designed to capture emotions in the simplest possible way. Rather than functioning as a diary, the project offers a quick visual method for reflecting on each day without requiring written entries or significant time investment. Every date is represented by a small color barometer that can be customized using nothing more than a black marker. At the end of each day, users fill in the sections that best represent their mood, gradually creating a personal visualization of an entire year. The more colorful the calendar becomes, the more positive the year has been. Beyond its practical function, Mood was conceived as a decorative object that can be displayed in a living space without revealing private details. A flexible date system based on seven-segment display numerals allows the calendar to be reused year after year, transforming personal data into an evolving graphic composition.

The project received a Silver Nail in the ADC Talent Award category at the Art Directors Club Germany (ADC) Awards in Hamburg in 2021.
