Editorial Design – 2020
Ratatöskr
As part of a student team, I co-created Ratatöskr, an independent magazine developed by and for communication design students. The project emerged from a shared desire to strengthen the sense of community within the department while critically and humorously reflecting on student life. Combining editorial design, visual experimentation, and cultural commentary, the magazine explores topics such as university history, gender issues, international perspectives, and everyday experiences within design education. Alongside articles, interviews, and essays, it features work by current students and alumni, creating connections across different generations and backgrounds. My involvement ranged from concept development and editorial design to the production process itself. The publication was printed and hand-bound using a combination of laser printing, Risograph, and screen printing techniques. With carefully selected materials and a limited edition of 200 copies, Ratatöskr became both a platform for student voices and a collectible printed object.
