Workshop & Lecture – 2026
What can AI do?
As part of the AI Week at Folkwang University of the Arts, I transformed my master's project WHAT CAN AI DO? into a hands-on workshop and lecture format for around twenty design students. The session began with a talk introducing the project's development, research process, and central question: how can AI become more than a tool for efficiency and instead serve as a catalyst for creative thinking? Participants were then invited into an open workshop environment featuring a range of challenges across image-making, video, sound, 3D, and typography. Using different AI tools, students explored playful experiments as well as applied design scenarios that encouraged curiosity, critical reflection, and unexpected outcomes. Rather than teaching fixed workflows, the workshop focused on developing an individual approach to AI—one that embraces experimentation, questions assumptions, and expands creative possibilities through active exploration. The workshop was part of the university's interdisciplinary AI Week, which brought together perspectives from design, art, technology, and theory.
