Artificial intelligence is rapidly changing the way designers work. While AI tools have become part of many creative workflows, they also raise questions about authorship, control, and the future role of human creativity. For my master's project, I explored these questions through practice rather than theory. Under the title WHAT CAN AI DO?, I developed a platform that encourages designers to experiment with AI, challenge its limitations, and develop their own perspective on working with intelligent systems. At its core are 52 creative challenges that invite users to test, disrupt, and rethink AI-driven processes. Published through a digital platform and archived annually in print, the project combines hands-on experimentation, learning, and critical reflection. The title deliberately plays on a double meaning: exploring not only what AI can do, but also what the individual — the “I” — can achieve in collaboration with it.
In June 2026, WHAT CAN AI DO? was recognized at the Art Directors Club Germany (ADC) Awards in Hamburg, receiving an ADC Nail and an additional distinction in the ADC Talent Award category.
